About the Role

Adobe Firefly Applied Science & Machine Learning (ASML) group is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to work on generative AI models for image synthesis. This role involves building the next generation of creative tools, requiring candidates with strong expertise demonstrated through peer-reviewed publications and hands-on industrial research experience.

As a Manager for Applied Research at Adobe, you will join an outstanding team of researchers shaping the future of digital experiences. You will have the opportunity to develop innovative ideas that will enhance Adobe's products and reach millions of users worldwide.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Manage a team of highly skilled, distributed applied research scientists.
  2. Collaborate with engineers, researchers, and product managers to implement AI/ML solutions for Adobe Firefly.
  3. Engage with product and research teams to estimate and develop full experience pipelines to deploy models in production.
  4. Influence the modeling roadmap to maximize value.
  5. Partner with teams across Firefly and Adobe to align priorities and drive projects forward.
  6. Develop and transfer novel technologies into Adobe products.
  7. Research and develop large-scale foundation models in Generative AI.
  8. Collaborate with researchers and engineers to translate research ideas into production.
  9. Translate research papers into code using Python and ML development tools.
  10. Provide technical mentorship and guidance.

Qualifications

  1. Masters or Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI/ML, or related fields.
  2. Excellent communication skills and team spirit.
  3. Experience with state-of-the-art Generative AI technologies like GANs and diffusion models.
  4. Hands-on experience with image and 3D editing.
  5. Experience training large-scale generative models.
  6. Preferred: Experience with large datasets, technology transfer with product teams, and a strong publication record.

Additional Information

The salary range for this U.S.-based role is $168,200 to $340,100 annually, depending on location, experience, and skills. Adobe offers various incentives and benefits, including potential equity awards.
