One of our companies is currently looking for a Director of Business Development in Costa Mesa, CA.

As a Director of Business Development, you will lead efforts to grow the equipment leasing segment by actively cultivating new vendor and lessee relationships. This role involves engaging with industries like Healthcare, IT / Telecom, Construction, Automotive, and more to drive growth. You will develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, assist in training sales teams, and ensure that leasing programs are efficiently administered and communicated. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing the company's position in the market and driving substantial business growth across multiple sectors.

Accountabilities:

  • Prospect and develop new vendor and lessee relationships, with an expectation of making 100 calls per day during the first year.
  • Drive sales volume and further penetration in existing vendor and lessee relationships.
  • Pursue vendor and manufacturing relationships that generate at least $3 million in annual revenue.
  • Provide ongoing training and support for vendor sales teams via meetings, conference calls, and events.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with senior management and key contacts at vendor customers.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events nationwide.
  • Collaborate with management and support teams to drive business initiatives and achieve growth objectives.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in equipment leasing or a related industry.
  • Proven success in banking / financing and consultative sales.
  • A transferable book of business generating $3MM or more annually is preferred.
  • Proficient with CRM software, Salesforce preferred.
  • Strong track record of driving growth and achieving sales volume targets.
  • High school diploma or GED required.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of $30k–$150k per year, with additional commissions ranging from $10k–$150k+ annually.
