Senseeker Corp is looking for a principal integrated circuit (IC) design engineer to join our IC design team and take on mixed-signal design of CMOS image sensors and related integrated circuits in 65 nm to 180 nm processes. Responsibilities will include digital and analog IC design, simulation, layout and verification, Verilog/Verilog-A behavioral modeling, contributing novel ideas to the company's IP portfolio, interfacing with customers, keeping up with the state-of-the art, and maintaining good written documentation. You will also help improve our EDA tool flow and efficiency. You should be comfortable working in a relaxed small business environment and understand how to get tasks accomplished independently when needed.

Required Education and Experience: MS in Electrical Engineering with at least 10 years of industry experience in IC design or PhD in Electrical Engineering with at least 8 years of industry experience in IC design

Required Attributes:

• US person status required for this position, pursuant to the terms of government contracts with Senseeker*
• CMOS integrated circuit design, simulation, and layout experience
• Knowledge of high-density arrayed CMOS low-noise analog and mixed-signal design techniques
• Verilog, Verilog-A/Verilog-AMS modeling
• Solid understanding of solid-state device physics
• Excellent teamwork skills, good written and verbal communication and a self-driven approach to work
• Previous tapeout experience is a must

Desired Attributes:

• Practical design experience with digital converters (ADCs/DACs), PLL/DLL, SerDes, image sensors and digital readout ICs
• Proficient in image sensor characterization and noise analysis
• Comfortable with multiple CAD tools and foundry PDKs
• Experience with digital synthesis tools
• Experience with Siemens Tanner / Calibre design flow

Job Type and Location: Full-time in Santa Barbara, CA, USA

Base Salary Range: $165k - $230k per year
