Job DetailsWe are seeking an experienced Aerospace Technician to join our innovative manufacturing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge aerospace technology and contribute to the development of advanced space systems. The successful candidate will possess a solid background in aerospace, assembly, mechanical, and manufacturing, with a keen understanding of AS9100, IPC, and NASA standards. The role requires a meticulous technician who can interpret blueprints and ensure the highest quality of work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Location: Goleta, CA
Responsibilities:
1. Assemble, install, and repair aerospace systems and components following detailed instructions, blueprints, and guidelines.
2. Perform mechanical assembly operations including bonding, staking, torqueing, and wire routing.
3. Conduct inspections of assembly and installation operations to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments and devices.
4. Document assembly and test procedures to ensure production activities are traceable and retrievable.
5. Collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot issues and improve assembly processes.
6. Ensure compliance with AS9100, IPC, and NASA standards in all activities.
7. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
8. Participate in continuous improvement activities and lean manufacturing processes.
9. Assist in training other technicians and provide guidance as needed.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum 2+ years of experience as an Aerospace Technician or a similar role in the manufacturing industry (Candidates with an Auto Mechanic background and certifications will also be considered).
2. Demonstrated knowledge of aerospace systems and components.
3. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
4. Familiarity with AS9100, IPC, and NASA standards.
5. Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Able to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
9. High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is a plus.
10. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
