People Creating Success is currently hiring Direct Support Professionals to join our team in the Santa Barbara and Goleta areas. In this role, you will provide essential support to adults with developmental disabilities, helping them with daily living activities and working towards their personal goals.

Job Duties

Your responsibilities will vary based on the needs of the individuals you support but may include:

  • Following Program Plans: Work towards individual goals as outlined in their service plans.
  • Daily Documentation: Complete required documentation and progress notes.
  • Daily Living Assistance: Support activities like cleaning, cooking, and light household duties.
  • Community Engagement: Participate in community events and help individuals achieve their goals.
  • Supportive Care: Assist with hobbies, studies, and social activities; provide hygiene and bathing help if needed; assist with lifting, transferring, and medication management.
  • Communication: Maintain communication with staff and program managers about individual progress.
  • Professionalism: Exercise mature judgment and provide care in a respectful and non-judgmental manner.

Requirements for Employment

  • Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to Clear a Live-Scan Background Check.
  • Current COVID-19 Vaccination Card or Medical Exemption.
  • CPR/First Aid/AED Certification (Preferred; training available if needed).
  • Reliable Vehicle (Preferred).

What We Offer

  • Competitive Pay: $18.00 per hour.
  • Hours: Up to 40 hours per week, with full-time and part-time options available.

  • Team Collaboration: Attend monthly team meetings and regular check-ins with supervisors.
