Description:

Are you looking to supplement your income or work outside of normal office hours? Our fast-paced office in downtown Santa Barbara is looking for the right teammate to perform remote scheduling and customer service on weekends and some evenings.

  • On-call schedule (paid by stipend; remote work only)
    • Friday evenings
    • Saturdays
    • Sundays
  • In office schedule (paid hourly).
    • Friday afternoons: 3-5 or similar
    • Monday mornings: 8:30-9:30am or similar

Ideally, the On Call Scheduler will come into the office on Friday afternoons and Monday mornings. This could be remote after initial training is complete. Weekend work can be performed remote. Job details are as follows:

Primary Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
  • Responds to all phone calls and text messages during scheduled times within 60 minutes.
  • Schedules caregivers for last-minute openings and provides them with all needed shift information.
  • Updates clients hourly on the availability of a replacement caregiver or alternative shift.
  • Responds to service inquiries and new employee applicants with information about Senior Helpers and next steps.
  • Reviews active client care plans and schedules regularly; maintains knowledge of their needs and preferences.
  • Builds relationships with active caregivers.
  • At the end of each on-call period, updates MatrixCare with schedule changes and office activities.
  • Meets with Scheduler and Director of Client Services on Fridays to get updates for the weekend.
  • Attends Monday morning meeting to give report and return phone.

Qualifications
  • Team player, excellent verbal and communication skills, adaptable in different situations, possesses excellent customer service skills, able to multi-task and work independently.
  • Excellent problem solving abilities, schedule conflicts are bound to arise that will require creative solutions.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new situations.
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Basic computer and cell phone knowledge; ability to learn our software programs.
