An aerospace client is looking for a Manufacturing Assembly Technician who will work with our Industrial engineering team to support Continuous Improvement efforts at our Goleta/Oxnard facilities.
Location: Goleta, CA 93117 Position: Manufacturing Assembly Technician Pay Rate : $29.59/hr. on W2 Duration : 3 months or longer.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate as a team member to positively influence and enhance the safety, quality, cost and scheduling of cross functional space craft teams.
Participate in the identification of risks and implementation of solutions for a variety of production & process needs
Hands on activities/tasks may include but are not limited to tool control, establishing 5S systems, supporting Kaizen projects, maintaining cleanliness of work area and facilities, and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Hands on setup & procurement of equipment, tools, & aids for space craft production work areas
Support other Industrial Engineers in routine work & assignments.
Read & teach personal how to interpret basic production KPIs & charts
Perform math and measurement functions
Collect data and present it in an understandable way.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
US citizenship.
High School diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 1 to 4 years of manufacturing (product assembly) experience.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
50lb lift requirement clause to match the assembly tech postings that we have at Goleta & Oxnard
Proficient with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Can read KPIs, data & charts
Basic data entry
Must be willing to work overtime as required
Must possess a valid state driver's license
Able to read, comprehend and follow established written instructions without deviation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
PowerPoint, Visio
Working knowledge of SCRUM, Jira or Confluence
Good communication skills and the ability to work with others
Good analytic skills
Good understanding of Lean Principals
Ability to lead in a team environment
Good analytic skills
