**Inventory Accountant**

Job Qualifications

* Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance

* Must have Inventory and Cost Accounting experience, ideally in a Distribution or Manufacturing environment

* Minimum 4-5 years of Accounting experience

* Working knowledge of GAAP

* Strong accounting and analytical skills and the ability to work under time constraints.

* Must be able to work in a team environment.

* Good communication skills, both oral and written

* Experience at a company with multiple operating entities a plus

* High proficiency in Microsoft Excel required

* Experience with SAGE is preferred

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

* Responsible for all manufacturing cost accounting related activities including month end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and cost review

* Manage inventory accounting activities including working with operations to improve cost tracking and inventory transaction accuracy

* Prepare and review various inventory and cost accounting entries

* Prepare monthly reports and analysis to reconcile and validate COGS, inventory movements and balances

* Provide thoughtful analysis and proactively identify areas of focus for cost savings

* Develop, implement, and manage procedures related to the Cost Accounting

* Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies and procedures to support the rapid growth and expansion of the Company

* Provide support as required by Accounting Management

The company is currently operating in a hybrid work environment. All employees are required to work in the office two days per week with three days remote. We are currently monitoring the situation with an objective to move to three days in the office and two days remotely.
