Description:

**Job Purpose:**

Normally stationed at entrances and lift lines, Snow Play, or base area gates. Checks the validity of a guest's lift ticket and/or pass by scanning with an electronic gun, or by visually verifying the date and/or matching the face with pass photo.

**Essential Functions/Physical Demands:**

* Works 8-10 hours per day, often for 6 consecutive days during winter season, November through April

* 100% of your shift is working outdoors, in extreme weather conditions and temperatures

* Frequent standing while performing your duties, normally for an entire shift

* Frequent interaction with guests and other staff, which sometimes escalates into stressful circumstances

* Occasional lifting and carrying of up to 20 lbs.; more with assistance

* Frequent stooping, bending at neck and waist, reaching, grasping, pulling, pushing and shoveling snow and ice from grounds.

**Experience/Training/Education:**

**Required:**

* Must be at least 14 years old and possess a valid work permit from your school

* Required to pass a pre-employment drug screen

* Required to pass a pre-employment physical

**Desired:**

* Previous experience in customer relations and/or snow play and ticket checking

**Knowledge/skills/abilities:**

Have the ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with employees, staff and other management. Have the ability to comply with policies and procedures; ability to prioritize, organize and complete tasks.

**Environmental Elements:**

Work may be strenuous at times and performed during inclement weather and on challenging terrain. The temperature can range from well below freezing to in excess of 80 degrees Fahrenheit with high winds, snow, rain, and dense fog and intense sun. The terrain is often on uneven and icy ground. Protective equipment is strongly recommended including full sun protection, adequate clothing for conditions and expected conditions.
